Hey there! We’re Positively Vegan, a grassroots crew based in beautiful British Columbia with a big love for plants, people, and planet. Our mission? To build vibrant, connected vegan communities through fun, welcoming events that celebrate compassion, sustainability, and ethical living.

We kicked things off in Nanaimo with our very first VegFest in 2023, and thanks to amazing community support (and some seriously delicious vegan eats), we came back with an even bigger bash in 2024 at the stunning Maffeo Sutton Park. From local vendors and community groups to inspiring speakers and epic snacks, our festivals are all about good vibes and even better food.

But we’re not stopping there! We’re working hard to bring VegFests to Kelowna, Nanaimo, and Victoria this year, plus we’re planning more awesome events like vegan film nights, music bingo, and cozy community gatherings. Our goal is to create spaces where vegans (and the vegan-curious!) can connect, learn, and support small businesses that align with cruelty-free and eco-friendly values.

Right now, we’re running mostly on volunteer power: so, a huge shoutout to our incredible team! As we grow, we plan to raise funds so we can expand our impact and keep creating the kind of events that make people feel good about making kind choices. Want to help out? Let’s connect!
